Our home is like being on vacation every day! We have a spacious apartment with a huge private corner terrace where you can gaze at Lake Geneva (Lac Leman), the Lavaux Vineyards, Swiss Alps and French Alps. The view is truly an experience in itself!

Renovated in 2022, our home and is comprised of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The first bedroom (one 90cm x 200cm bed) has a bathroom with shower right next to the bedroom. The second bedroom (two 90cm x 200cm beds) has an adjoining bathroom with shower, and the master suite (one 180cm x 200cm bed) has an adjoining bathroom with shower, large bathtub as well as a private terrace! You are also welcome to use our private laundry room with washer and dryer that is located within our apartment.

The lovely kitchen is equipped with plenty of countertop space, seating, an induction cooktop, oven, oven/steamer combo, fridge and freezer, and a wine fridge.

There is a natural wood-burning fireplace across from the dining area that can be enjoyed from the entire living space. The living room is open to the kitchen and terrace where you can look out at the mountains or enjoy a movie. The couch is huge and can be transformed into another bed if needed.

On the terrace where you will find more seating along with a few automatic canopies if needed.

What you will love about this neighborhood

We live in Lutry where we are very close to a variety of activities. You can walk down to the lake and old town Lutry in less than 10 minutes where you will find restaurants, bars, cafes, ice cream shops, small local shops/boutiques, playgrounds, and a lakefront walkway that will take you as far east or west as you wish! You can walk straight west along the lake all the way to Ouchy if you wish (and farther)!

There is a bus you can catch at the end of our road that will head west straight into Lausanne in about 15 minutes (you can also catch a train here to go to different cities). It's easy to make your way to the famous Lavaux Vineyards and stroll around to the wineries and take home bottles of wine via the honor-system payment as you explore the area!

The Port of Lutry is a 10-minute walk from our house where you can take the beautiful paddlewheel ferry around Lake Geneva. You can also take the ferry across the lake into France and explore some of the villages right on the water (example Evian, France). The Lavaux Express also jumps off from Lutry and will take you directly into the Lavaux vineyards.

We are a 13-minute walk from the Lutry train station where you have even more options of travel and places to go. Maybe take the 20-minute train ride to Montreux and explore another famous and charming town dating back to the 12th Century!

Additional information

We are looking for equivalent reciprocal exchanges as that is what is best for our family. We maintain our home extremely well and spend a lot of time preparing for our guests to provide memorable experience. In turn we will treat your house with the same care and respect as our own, and we expect the same from our guests. Additionally, we ask guests to always remove outdoor shoes at the front door of our home, so please bring slippers/house shoes if you are not comfortable barefoot.

The terrace of our home is near to other outdoor terraces/windows of our neighbors. We ask you to respect this and not be disruptive with loud noise. The train tracks run just behind the building. The trains are largely very smooth and quiet but I don't want it to be a surprise.

There is absolutely no smoking or vaping inside the house or terrace. We cannot accept smokers to stay in our home and pets are unfortunately not allowed.

If flying to the area, you have the option to fly into the Geneva or Zurich airport. From the Geneva airport you can take a train directly into Lausanne in about 45 min. From the Zurich airport you can take a train into Lausanne in about 2hr and 45 mins.
